QPINE 50/QPINE 100/QPINE 200 is an atypical antipsychotic medication that is a dibenzothiazepine. This medication’s clinical antipsychotic effects and low incidence of extrapyramidal side effects are mediated via antagonistic interactions with the D2 and 5-HT2 receptors. Serotonin (5-HT2), histamine (H1), adrenergic (1 and 2), and dopamine receptors are among those to which it binds avidly (such as 1 and 2).
