PHOSPHOLIPIDS

Phospholipids are substances that are made up of a hydrophilic head, which is pulled in to water, and two hydrophobic tails, which repulse water. Aside from building up the cell membranes, phospholipids assume a key job in different body processes, supporting brain and heart health, liver health, and digestion. Phospholipids help to move nutrients all through the body.

Phospholipids is used in the following:

  • Acute andchronic hepatitis dystrophy
  • Liver cirrhosis
  • Biliary stasis
  • Hepatic coma
  • Liver damaged by toxins
  • Fatty liver (eg, in diabetes, TB & chronic rheumatism)
  • Prophylaxis of recurrent gallstones
  • Radiation damage

Do not give Phospholipids to people with the following conditions:

  • Hypersensitivity

Phospholipids may have the following side effects:

  • Slight unpleasant discomforts (in patients prone to stomach upsets)
  • Abdominal pain
  • Feeling of sickness
  • Diarrhea
  • Allergic reaction

Take extra caution in patients with the following medical conditions:
