OLMESARTAN MEDOXOMIL AMLOPIDINE BESYLATE

Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker. It works by bringing relaxation to the muscles of the heart and the blood vessels.

Olmesartan is an angiotensin II receptor antagonist. Olmesartan keeps blood vessels from narrowing, which brings down blood pressure and enhances blood flow.

  • Dizziness
  • Drowsiness
  • Swelling
  • Skin rash or itching
  • Flushing (warmth, redness, or tingly feeling)
  • Increased urination (especially at night)

Precautions

Take extra caution in patients with the following medical conditions:

  • Severe aortic stenosis and obstructive heart disease
  • Congestive heart failure
  • Impaired renal andhepatic function
  • Pregnancy andlactation
  • Elderly

  • Cyclosporine
  • Lithium
  • Simvastatin
  • Tacrolimus
  • NSAIDS(nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs)
