MEBHYDROLIN

Mebhydrolin is a drug that is known as a derivative of ethylenediamine and is an antihistamine with antimuscarinic and sedative effects.

Mebhydrolin is a drug that is used to relieve hypersensitivity and allergic reactions such as skin and nasal allargies.

Mebhydrolin should not be used in the following:

  • Premature infants
  • Neonates
  • Acute asthmatic attack

Mebhydrolin may have the following side effects:

  • Central nervous system depression
  • Psychomotor impairment
  • Dry mouth
  • Thickened respiratory tract secretions
  • Myalgia

Take extra caution in patients with the following medical conditions:

  • Closed-angle glaucoma
  • Urinary retention
  • Prostatic hyperplasia or pyloroduodenal obstruction
  • Pregnancy

Interactions

Mebhydrolin may interact with the following medicines:

  • CNS depressants
  • MAOIs
  • Atropine
  • TCAs
  • Ototoxic agents like aminoglycosides
  • Antibiotics
