LOW BACK PAIN EXERCISES

Our bodies work their best when muscles work in a state of harmony with each other.

Fragile muscles, particularly those in the back and pelvis, can sometimes experience inflammation resulting to pain or damage.

Low back pain can hinder you from doing your day by day activities. However, some studies show that certain exercises may diminish pain and enhance muscle function.

Healthy living is the best way to deal with low back pain.

TYPES

Ask your doctor first before starting an exercise program.

If these activities cause your back pain to increase, stop and look for medical help immediately. Just work within your own physical limitations.

Here are some back pain exercises:

  • Bottom to heels stretch
  • Knee rolls
  • Back extensions
  • Deep abdominal strengthening
  • Pelvic tilts

SYMPTOMS

Signs and symptoms of back pain can include:

  • Muscle pain
  • A feeling of stabbing pain
  • Pain that goes down your leg
  • Pain that worsen when you bend, lift, stand or simply walk
  • Pain that is increased when leaning back

DIAGNOSIS

Your doctor will take a look at your back and assess your capacity to sit, stand, walk and lift your legs. Your doctor may likewise request that you rate your pain on a size of zero to 10 and talk with you about how well you’re working with your pain.

When there is reason to speculate that an explicit condition is causing your back pain, your doctor may arrange at least one of the following tests:

TREATMENT

Most cases of intense back pain improve within 14 days of home treatment. However, it also varies among individuals. For some, the pain doesn’t leave after long periods of time.

For intense back pain, over-the-counter pain relievers and utilization of warm compress may be of help.

If home medicines aren’t working, consult your doctor for further treatments.
