LACTIC ACID

Lactic acid is a substance that is used to moisturize and lubricate the skin. It is used for skin itching and skin dryness. It is applied externally to the skin.

Lactic acid is used in the treatment of skin itching and skin dryness.

Do not use in people who are allergic to Lactic acid.

Lactic acid can bring about the following side effects:

  • Mild burning
  • Stinging
  • Skin peeling
  • Skin irritation

Precautions

Lactic acid may cause photosensitivity or sensitivity to light. Do not use near eyes, mouth, nose or other mucous membranes.

 

Interactions

There are no drug interactions that are known with Lactic acid.

If you think you may have swallowed lactic acid or used it more than recommended, seek medical help.
