Indiana type amyloidosis (type II) is a disease in which your body accumulates an aberrant protein named amyloid. Amyloid deposits may harm organs and lead them to malfunction over time. Although this disease is uncommon, it may be dangerous.
The kidneys, heart, joints, skin, nerves, soft tissues, intestines, and liver may all be affected by Indiana type amyloidosis (type II). Aside from that, amyloid may build up all over your body at times. This is known as systemic amyloidosis, which affects the whole body.
