Histrelin implant is a synthetic analogue of gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) agonist. This medication works by decreasing the production of certain hormones, which reduces estrogen and testosterone levels in the body.

Uses

Histrelin implant is used to treat central precocious puberty (CPP) in children.

Warnings

Do not use histrelin implant if you are:

Allergic to any ingredient in histrelin implant or other medicines containing GnRH
Pregnant or able to become pregnant
