HIGH TRIGLYCERIDES

High triglycerides may put your health at high risk, including a greater chance of acquiring heart disease. TREATMENT

Patients with extremely high substance in their body and heart conditions need serious medical attention to lower the amount of the substance. Medications may include the following:

  • Intake of fish oil that consists of omega-3 fatty acids. They can control the level. 
  • Niacin. It allows decreasing by up to 50%.
  • Fibrates. It lowers the triglycerides and slowly boosts the cholesterol of the patients. 
  • Statins. The experts suggest this medication for poor cholesterol and any history of diabetes or blocked arteries. 

Maintain the triglycerides level at a normal level by staying healthy through engaging in exercise, eating nutritious foods, and enhancing your lifestyle. If the doctor recommends medications that intend to lower the level of triglycerides, strictly follow the instructions given by the doctor.
