Herbal Epimedum or horny goat weed is an herb that is used to make medicine. It is usually taken by mouth for sexual performance problems, such as erectile dysfunction (ED) and low sexual desire. It is also used for weakness of the back and knees, as well as for joint pain, fatigue, and memory loss along with many other problems. But there is limited scientific evidence to support these claims.
Horny goat weed has chemicals which can increase blood flow and enhance sexual function. It also has phytoestrogens, which are chemicals that act like estrogen. This can decrease bone loss in postmenopausal women.
