Fluocinonide is a corticosteroid drug that is applied to the skin to treat skin inflammation.

Fluocinonide is used to treat skin diseases that are responsive to the effects of corticosteroids.

  • Infection at treatment site
  • Intolerance to the drug
  • Pre-existing skin atrophy

Fluocinonide may have the following side effects:

  • Contact and allergic dermatitis
  • Skin irritation and reactions
  • Hirsutism
  • Acneiform eruptions
