FENCAMFAMIN

Fencamfamin is a drug that belongs to a class of medicines known as central stimulants. It is given via the mouth.

Fencamfamin is used in the treatment of depressive fatigue and lethargy.

Fencamfamin should not be given to people with the following conditions:

  • Heart diseases
  • Angina
  • Decompensated cardiac insufficiency
  • Glaucoma
  • Hyper-excitability
  • Thyrotoxicosis
  • Concomitant therapy with MAOI

Fencamfamin can give rise to a dry mouth.

Precautions

Do not give Fencamfamin in late afternoon and evening so as to prevent sleep disturbances.

 

Interactions

Fencamfamin can interact with monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOI).

Symptoms of overdose include nausea, agitation, restlessness, dry mouth, dizziness, tremors, dyspnoea, tachycardia, disorientation, and seizures. Seek medical help immediately.
