Favirab has been recommended for rabies post-exposure prophylaxis in persons suspected of having been infected with the rabies virus, especially in serious conditions.
Favirab should always be administered with a rabies vaccination. The sole exemption is for individuals who have previously received a rabies vaccine and can provide paperwork verifying inoculation with a cell-culture vaccine.

The medication dose your physician has given is based on your condition, other medications or food supplements you may take, and your reaction to treatment.
