EPERISONE

Eperisone is an antispasmodic drug. Eperisone acts by relaxing the skeletal muscles and vascular smooth muscles, and demonstrates some effects such as decreased myotonia, improvement of circulation, and suppression of the pain reflex.

Eperisone is an antispastic agent used for treatment of illnesses characterized by muscle stiffness and pain.

Eperisone should be given with caution in patients having a history of hypersensitivity to any drug product and patients having hepatic disorders.

Weakness, dizziness, insomnia, drowsiness, numbness or trembling in the extremities, liver and kidney dysfunction, blood changes, skin rashes, itching, gastrointestinal disturbances, urinary disorders. Rarely, shock

Hepatic function disorders, May affect ability to drive or operate machinery. Take extra precaution during pregnancy and lactation as well as in children and the elderly.

This drug may interact with Methocarbamol.

Seizures have been reported in an infant after accidental ingestion of eperisone.
