DIBENCOZIDE

Dibencozide is a medicine that increases protein efficiency coefficient or the level of bound nitrogen for protein  in the body. The effect of this drug shows up as an increase in appetite.

In this way, dibencozide encourages ideal usage of dietary protein intake, adds to the development and repair of body tissues and stimulates the appetite.

Dibencozide is used in the following:

  • Premature babies
  • Low birth weight
  • Retarded growth
  • Poor appetite in infants, children and adults
  • Adjuvant to treatment of tuberculosis and other chronic ailments
  • Convalescence from acute infection or surgery
  • Faulty nutrition in older people

Do not give Dibencozide to people with the following conditions:

  • Pregnancy
  • Breast-feeding
  • Gastrointestinal conditions

 

There are no know side effects with Dibencozide.

Take extra caution in patients with the following medical conditions:

Interactions

 Dibencozide may interact with the following medicines:

  • Chloramphenicol
  • Vitamin B12

Symptoms of overdose include the following:
