Clindamycin given orally may act as a neuromuscular blocker. This means it can increase the action of neuromuscular blocking drugs like pancuronium and vecuronium. Less clindamycin is absorbed into the blood stream when given as a suppository so the likelihood of an interaction with these drugs is less likely.
If overdose is suspected, contact emergency hotline immediately. Clindamycin suppositories may be harmful if swallowed.
