CANAGLIFLOZIN

It increases the risk of genital yeast or fungal infections. If you have a history of genital yeast or fungal infections or are an uncircumcised male, you’re more likely to develop genital yeast or fungal infections.

The most common side effects that occur with Canagliflozin include:

• Vaginal yeast infection. Symptoms may include:
  • vaginal odor
  • white or yellowish vaginal discharge
  • vaginal itching

• Yeast infection of the penis. Symptoms may include:
  • redness
  • itching
  • swelling
  • rash
  • foul smelling discharge
  • pain
  • urinary tract infection

• Changes in urination
  • urgent need to urinate
  • urinating more often
  • urinating at night more often
  • larger amounts of urination

Mild side effects may go away within a few days or a couple of weeks. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if they’re more severe or don’t go away.

Precautions

It can cause intravascular volume contraction. Symptomatic hypotension can occur after initiating. Inform your doctor if you have had a transplant, autoimmune disease, or liver disease.

Interactions
