Calciday contains calcium carbonate (Ca) and vitamin D3. Ca and vitamin D3 supplementation reduces the rise in PTH produced by Ca shortage and increases bone resorption. Calcium carbonate is a calcium supplement to prevent or slow bone loss in osteoporosis. It also functions as an antacid, neutralizing stomach acidity and increasing gastric and duodenal pH.
Vitamin D3 is a fat-soluble sterol required for appropriate Ca and phosphate balance, bone metabolism, and mineralization.
