CAFONATE

Cafonate is a product of tetrahydrofolic acid, a reduced form of folic acid that is used in the production of purines and pyrimidines in nucleic acids as a cofactor for 1-carbon transfer processes.

Use this medication precisely as recommended by your physician. Follow the prescription of your doctor carefully.

The medication dose your physician has given is based on your condition, other medications or food supplements you may take, and your reaction to treatment. Do not use Cafonate in people with the following conditions:

  • Pernicious anemia or other anemias caused by deficiency in vitamin B12
  • Hypersensitivity

Cafonate may have the following side effects:

  • Breathing difficulties
  • Hives
  • Inflammation of the lips, throat, tongue, and the face
