Benzyl benzoate is used in the treatment of scabies. It is applied as a 25% emulsion to the skin, 3 times at 12-hour intervals, over the whole body.
Benzyl benzoate should not be applied to broken or irritated skin. It should not be applied to newborn babies or pregnant women.

Do not allow the drug to enter the eyes. This may dry out skin in the elderly.
