Aluminum chloride is a substance which prevents excessive sweating. As this is a product that should be used to prevent foot sweat, it contains aluminum chloride at a concentration of 30% or more.

Aluminum foot powder helps prevent excessive sweating of the feet while also temporarily relieving minor skin irritations due to poison ivy, insect bites, athlete’s foot and rashes caused by shoes and rubber.

This product is for external use only. When using this product, avoid contact with eyes. Do not cover with plastic to prevent evaporation. In some skin conditions, soaking too long may over dry. Stop use and ask a doctor if your condition worsens or symptoms persist for more than 7 days. Keep out of reach of children.

Aluminum may give rise to the following side effects:

  • Tingling
  • Mild itching
  • Irritation

Seek immediate medical attention if you notice any of these allergy symptoms:

  • Rash
  • Itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat)
  • Severe dizziness
  • Trouble breathing

Before using aluminum chloride, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to it or if you have any other allergies.

This powder may stain clothing or certain fabrics or harm metals. Avoid contact with clothes, bed linens, other fabrics, or metals. Let this medication dry completely before putting clothing over the treated area. During pregnancy, this medication should be used only when actually needed. It is not known whether this medication passes into breast milk. Consult your doctor before breast-feeding.

This medicine may be harmful if swallowed. If swallowing or overdose is suspected, call the nearest poison control center or emergency room immediately.
