ALCLOFLENAC

Alclofenac is a drug that is known to treat pain and inflammation. It is considered as a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medicine that inhibits an enzyme known as prostaglandin H2 synthase which then prevents the secretion of inflammatory chemicals such as prostaglandins. This action further stops pain.

Alclofenac is a drug that is used in treating inflammation of the joints or arthritis such as rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis and other forms of arthritis.

Aclofenac should be used cautiously if you have kidney problems. The dose may be reduced as needed. This medicine should be taken with meals, either before or after eating food.

Acloflenac can give rise to the following side effects:

  • Skin rashes
  • Stomach pain
  • Gastrointestinal upset

Precautions

Take extra precaution in case of moderate to severe kidney disease.
