ADENOSINE TRIPHOSPHATE

Adenosine is a chemical substance that can combine with phosphate to produce different chemical compounds like adenosine monophosphate and adenosine triphosphate. It is found in human cells and also used in medicine for lubricating the eyes.

Adenosine is used as artificial tears or as an eye lubricant

Do not give to people with a previous allergic reaction to this drug.

Ademetionine Triphosphate may have the following side effects:

  • Mild stinging sensation in the eyes
  • Blurred vision

Precautions

Take extra caution in those wearing soft contact lenses.

Interactions

Ademetionine Triphosphate may have interactions with the following medicines:

  • Dipyridamole
  • Carbamazepine
  • Medications for gout
  • Methylxanthines
